Design Solution: Bring the vintage traditional characteristics of the existing home into the remodeled areas while incorporating a modern aesthetic. It was important to create a practical, functional kitchen with appropriate adjacencies to equipment, as well as a welcoming space that a young family would want to hang out in. This was accomplished by providing a banquette type seating arrangement at one end of the Kitchen where the family can eat or lounge. The addition of antique furniture against modern pieces further reinforces the juxtaposition of antique to modern.
